Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy died and three other people were injured.

The strikes succeed nights of air raids in the region, parts of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

He said utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
